"Honestly" - Cartel

My intentions hold no mystery.

I completely suck at keeping my own thoughts secret.

The things I should probably "keep to myself". I usually cannot.

I mean, I don't tell my life story to a random post office clerk or ever answer "how are you doing today?" with anything negative. It's always a "good", "great", or "can't complain".

However, when people ask my opinion . . . well......they asked, right?!

If some random person wants to know "which dress" looks better - I'll say which one within seconds.

I always have an opinion.

and

I always have my own back.

If someone makes a brash/rude comment to me - - - I'll reply 99% of the time. I always try to do it in an "as nice as possible" way. My new method of counting to four before I reply has helped a lot. ;)

In relationships, I'm not afraid to reveal my feelings, no matter how rare/raw they are. I don't shy away from frank discussion about losses and heartaches.

I often do borderline stupid random things . . . . . I know I'm on the receiving end of eye-rolls way more than I'd care to admit. I'm freaking good with it. Laughing at myself . . . . .I'm a pro at that!

I can run through my days, second guessing others' intentions, motivations, thoughts, but . . . . . . . the truth is . . . . . . I'm having way too much fun keeping mine in check.

Soooooooooooo,
since this is MY blog . . . . . here's what . . . . .

"I'm thinking about today":

* I finally felt awesome during a long-ish run.

* I wish I could prevent Peanut from ever getting zits.

* I'd like twin boys. I have two awesome boy's names and I'd hate to have to only pick one.

* I wish January would come sooner.

* When should I post my HAKA?

* I wish I was in Logan with Dawn. I should have sucked it up and bought the dang [hugely over-priced] ticket. [all three of you girls [Erin, Cari & Dawn] - go out there and kick it]

* I love this photo from Pokey marathon [and I'm not even flipping the camera off?!!?]

* I've secretly always wanted a tattoo. Just can't think of anything that would still look cool when I'm all wrinkly and still wearing bra tops during marathons at 80.

* I'm digging my new Newton's. Thanks Coach!

* but ---- I'm kinda digging these more [ya, thanks Dawn]. And they cost less?!?! WHAT THE . . .

* I can't believe I just paid someone $50 to make my dog look this ridiculous.

* That was really stupid to send a reminder text to Peanut at 1:15am when I remembered something.

* Even stupider . . . .thinking she would have it on "silent". Yes, the Emz household LOVED that.

* I hate politics. Truly. Hate all the hate IN politics.

* Should a treadmill really cost the amount of a used car?

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

What are you thinking about today?

Other than . . . . . it's FRIDAY!!!!!!

I'm thinking that now that my running issue has been diagnosed, I'll get my running mojo back.

I got my first tat last year, a celtic cross. I figure when I'm old and wrinkly I'll still be Irish. : )

just thinking about how awesome my blog-twitter pals are and how you all inspire me.

I love love love my tatts, well 2 out of 3 anyway. :-) but don't get one until you are a million percent sure cause that's what happened with #1, which is really #2 cause it's covering up that god awful #1 (and the coverup pretty much sucks too). #3 and #4 were way more fun. I still look at them and smile even if other people think they suck.

I'm with Adena. I love my tatts. I have 2 and plan on getting my left calf to be a full sleeve at some point. I think you should get my turtle and we can start a tribe.

How cool would we look doing a HAKA with the same tatt on our calf?

This is what I think about:
if taco bell is not really meat then can a vegetarian eat it?

I don't think your pup looks that ridiculous. And, I don't know how you can run that far on a treadmill. That's insane! Way to go!

I have 3 tats. Each one has meaning. Make sure you research who you have do your ink, so you don't have to have it fixed later...

Danielle C. said...

1. Get the tat somewhere that won't wrinkle. Diss the tramp stamp on my back but there is no fat there so it should stay good looking. Love the meaning behind mine and hope to add to it next year.

2. LOVE LOVE LOVE the bright orange Newton's.

3. HAKA = NOW

4. I DESPISE POLITICS TOO!

5. I LOL'ed at your poor dog.

I seriously don't wear heels or wedges of any kind, but those are awesome!

Random, yet entertaining as always.

Being able to laugh at yourself is one of the most important things in life. It took me a long time to learn this, but I now do it as often as possible.

I share your disdain for politics, and I'm saddened that something so unavoidably important is so polluted. Over a year until the election and I'm already completely tuned out. It's a shame that something we've fought so hard for has become so distasteful.

I'm thinking:

I don't like it when Blogger tells me I am not allowed to comment.

I think it's crazy amazing that you think 15.57 is "longish."

I think I checked out of my big girl job about mid-wednesday this week.

I think I can't wait to be in VA.

I think I could seriously never run on a road again and be deliriously happy...because I'd be on the trails!

I think I agree with no zits for out kids...esp daughters!

I think you will be rocking a sports bra in marathons at 80!

I think I'm done...for now.

I am thinking:

Holy Freaking Abs!

I kind of want a tattoo too, but am too afraid to ever get one.

Arizona is probably much warmer than Cleveland right now.

I wish 5:00 would get here sooner!

I really need something chocolate and delicious!

AND, I can't wait to go home for the weekend!

undeterrable said...

I'm hating politics too. I think that politians are ruining the world. I want to go back to the days where a smart person spoke up, not just the person with the best hair and the ability to put up with bullsh*t.

Teamarcia said...

Orange Newtons rock! We are sole sisters.

And we're little white doggie owners who pay way too much for hideous haircuts too.

Have a great weekend!

Petraruns said...

The sad thing is I'd still go for the Newtons.

And we love you just the way you are so don't apologise, don't explain and don't change.

misszippy said...

Newton's rock. Love the others too!

I dread January as much as you look forward to it.

Thinking my kids are overscheduled this weekend. Blech.

Rene' said...

Thinking about...

that I hope that I don't have to go upstairs and break up a fight between my 10 and 7 year old.

that I don't have to go to the bathroom at dinner tonight because I don't know if I will be able to button my pants again.

that i wish i could wear Newtons because i love them, but they aren't for me.

and that my quad is really not injured and just sore from a 20 miler on Wednesday.

Happy Friday Emz!!!

racing dawn said...

You are awesome. I think I might have to try the newton's. That is when I'm ready to break the bank. 

Not thinking about much. Pretty mellow weekend for me.

Caroline said...

you are looking forward to January...why is that? did I miss something..I know it is my birthday and all..but that cannot be it! :)

those shoes...how does one walk in them? I think I would fall on my face at the first try...for sure...!!!

I am thinking that I want B to find a new job...YESTERDAY

The Happy Runner said...

Love that you'll be rocking the bra top at 80!

Those shoes are seriously awesome.

Summer Brooke said...

I think its awesome you said "long-ish" when referring to 15.57 miles.

This makes me question what you think is long-est?

DRog said...

once you get a tat youll want another and another ... lol

nice run!

ur running in newts now?!?

Fruit Fly said...

I'm thinking I can't wait to get home and roll out my calves. They are waaayyy tight and I even took of a day of running after my last race.

AND I'm thinking your dog looks perfect - just like my little Isabella Bijou used to look when she was here!
